Signs of Summer

The old saying goes, “April showers bring May flowers” and I guess it must be so. After almost five inches of rain a few days ago, we are drying out now. The sticks have been cleared, the grass mown and a walk through the yard is something not to be missed. Our days flow by filled with work and necessary activities and it is altogether too easy to isolate yourself from the “realness” of all that is around us. I encourage you to take a walk outside somewhere today and enjoy the beauty of standing under a tree looking up through its branches or a flower blossom or even an unopened bud. Enjoy the feel of sunshine on your face and feel refreshed by the beauty and peace that are waiting just outside your door.
